We covered two weeks of consumption of the special antibiotic Tigecycline in the Intensive Care Unit of one of Dnipro hospitals.
In the footage, the chief of the ICU explains that 6 packages it‘s their weekly consumption. Tigecycline is the only anti-bacteria drug that works when the human body builds resistance to the first-line antibiotics.
The cost of the one package is ~$300-500 depending on the manufacturer. It’s hard to find this specific drug in Ukraine, so we’re looking for humanitarian help from manufacturers and pharmaceutical companies in Europe.
